Starting a new PPC advertising program? You have only one chance to make a good first impression, whether in a social setting or with a customer who clicks on your website. That means your landing page had better provide compelling reasons to stop and browse - and do so quickly.

First ask yourself these questions:

* What is your sales proposition?

* Who is our audience, and why would they be interested in what you are selling?

* What kind of response are you seeking?

* What questions should the landing page answer?

* What design and content drives the most sales and revenue, which are not the same as attracting the most visitors.

Boil those answers down to their basics, and you’re ready to start building a landing page. The objective is not to provide exhaustive information about your business but to intrigue them enough that they will explore the rest of your website.

Write short, easy-to-grasp sentences. This is an excellent place to use bullet points, which are both simple to read and visually appealing. With each key point, provide a way to quickly access more in-depth information if desired.

You never know what trigger will transform a prospect into a customer. Always include a call to action on the landing page, as well as other strategic locations throughout the site. Make the offer prominent on the landing page. A clear, concise offer enables prospects to evaluate it instantly and make a decision.

For visitors who want to learn more, make their path easy to follow. Your objective is to make a sale, so make that process as simple as possible for your visitors when leveraging PPC advertising.
