A lot of new advertisers spend a lot of money on PPC advertising. The get very excited initially when they see all the clicks on their advertisements. What then happens to the vast majority is they get terribly disappointed when all the traffic does not convert into a sale.

This is where landing pages could dramatically improve the conversion rate. A landing page is easy to create. You could use free websites like Weebly or Hubpages to create a landing page where you give the customer information about the product or service that are going to lead him to.

This would result in.

  • Much better conversion rates.
  • Raw PPC advertising which sends the customer straight to the product page could have a conversion rate as low as 0.5% to 1.5% on an average. A landing page will at least double those prospects.

What should you put in a landing page?

Depending on the product or service you are selling, it is best to write a review. The review could be long or short but the most important part of the review is to show the customer that you have bought the product. You will have to provide them with information that very clearly indicates to them that you have spent money on the product yourself.

If you instead just say “This is a great product” or “The Best in Category”, all you will do is waste money on PPC advertising. Go ahead and take some effort and write a review of the product that you have been trying to sell for a long time. You will be very surprised with the results.
