A joint report by Limbo and GfK Technology has released a study that more than 8 in 10 Indian phone users are receiving advertising messages over their phone.
The figures are higher than those of US (51 per cent) or UK (37 per cent).
Indian mobile phone usage is growing and there will be an increase in consumer awareness with the mobile advertising set to increase.
Text messaging format still rules the most favorable way to send such advertising for the Indian market at 74 per cent.
The Indian mobile phone advertising has a potential of marketing channel for the future with enhanced handsets, better flat rate data tariffs and mobile internet advertising is set to follow soon.
