Great suggestions out here. Related to the keyword research part, what are your opinions about www.ispionage.com? These guys developed some very useful tools for keywords research and campaign building and monitoring. The keywords research&campaign builder tool provides as many word related keyword as possible, using a daily updated database, on actual search volume. Each time a user searches for a keyword, the generated lists of variations automatically are included in the database, so it becomes larger and larger everyday. Once you have the keywords listed, you can clean them and group them into adgroups and build your campaign. Another tool they have is for monitoring your PPC campaign. You can Check your rank status and keep an eye on your campaign as well as to monitor your competitor’s campaigns activity. Completely agree that long-tail keywords can be extremely profitable. I recently did some research (see my long tail blog post) and found that not only are they often cheaper due to their lesser competition, but since long-tail searches are often more specific, they provide a great opportunity to write highly relevant ads and achieve a strong CTR and conversion rate.
